Union Pacific Railroad recently received Toyota Canada Inc.’s Logistics Partner Award for its on-time performance and customer service efforts. The railroad has earned the award from the automaker since 2008.
UP’s and Toyota’s business relationship spans more than 20 years, according to the Class I. Since 2009, the railroad has safely handled more than 1,000 carloads of the automaker’s Canadian-bound motor vehicles.
The award “clearly demonstrates our commitment to providing award-winning service,” said Mark Simon, UP’s senior business director-autos, in a prepared statement.
