UP's La Puente-Flowers named 'Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever'

Rosa La Puente-Flowers, director of strategic source-supply for Union Pacific Railroad, has been recognized as a 2011 Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility.
The association honored La Puente-Flowers for her “educational achievements, business acumen, personal leadership, community involvement and volunteer efforts,” UP officials said in a prepared statement.
La Puente-Flowers joined UP 12 years ago as senior analyst-finance, and since has held several positions of increasing responsibility. She also serves as president of UP’s Latino Employee Network (LEN), one of the company’s employee resource groups of which she is a founding member. LEN aims to recruit, retain and advance the careers of Latino employees within UP by fostering personal and professional growth.
