Union Pacific, STG Logistics extend partnership

STG Logistics, a transportation and logistics services provider, announced yesterday an extended long-term agreement with Union Pacific Railroad.

The new pact builds on three decades of the companies working together, STG officials said in a press release.

"We are proud of the long and successful history we share with STG Logistics," said Kari Kirchhoefer, UP's senior vice president of marketing and sales. "Our partnership is a reflection of our mutual commitment to providing safe, reliable and environmentally responsible service to our customers."

STG provides port-to-door services and supply-chain solutions in North America.

"This new contract will help STG with our growth trajectory while continuing a relationship that reflects our values and our vision for the future of intermodal," said Tyler Holtgreven, STG's SVP of operations.
