Union Pacific announces leadership appointments

Union Pacific Railroad has appointed Josh Perkes senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective Aug. 1. He will report to CEO Jim Vena.

Perkes will be responsible for all human resources and labor relations functions, and become a member of the company's senior leadership team. Most recently, he was vice president of Loup Logistics, a UP subsidiary that provides transportation and logistics services. Perkes has held various leadership positions in marketing and sales.

UP also named Elise Gosch to succeed Perkes as VP of Loup Logistics and corporate strategy. Gosch joined UP more than 20 years ago and most recently served as assistant VP of corporate strategy.

The Class I also announced the following appointments:

• Jeff Pincock has been named VP of strategy and corporate development. He previously was AVP of corporate development;

• Tonya Eggspuehler has been named VP of organizational development and total rewards-human resources. She has more than 24 years of service at UP and previously served as AVP of human resources; and

• Polly Harris has been named VP of culture and HR operations, overseeing the training, health, medical and diversity and inclusion teams. Harris is an 18-year UP veteran and previously served as VP of human resources.
