Union Pacific Railroad will be the exclusive rail-service provider to Maricopa County’s new industrial rail park in Buckeye, Arizona.

Rehrig Pacific Co., the park’s first tenant, recently broke ground on a 260,000-square-foot injection molding plastics manufacturing plant at the park.

A manufacturer of integrated, sustainable solutions for the supply chain and environmental waste industries, Rehrig will begin operations in spring 2024, UP officials said in a post on its website.

Rehrig will manufacture reusable plastic products, including industrial rollout carts, recycling bins, pallets and other reusable plastic containers made from new and recycled resin.

Los Angeles service unit train crews, based at UP’s Phoenix yards, will begin providing rail service in spring 2024.
