Progressive Railroading Magazine is excited to announce a new program aimed at celebrating the impactful contributions that women make in the railroad industry.

The Women of Influence in Rail recognition will shine a spotlight on the achievements of women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, mentorship, technological advancements and sustainability efforts within the rail sector.

Through Dec. 31, Progressive Railroading is seeking railroad companies' nominations of female employees who meet our criteria for influence in one of five categories: leadership, innovation, mentorship, technology or sustainability. We want to know how your nominee's influence has left a meaningful impact on your company and/or rail industry overall. Companies may nominate one female employee per category.

The Women of Influence in Rail recognition is open to women working for North American Class Is, short lines, regionals, passenger railroads and rail industry suppliers, contractors, product manufacturers or engineering firms that contract with railroads.

Women of Influence in Rail honorees will be announced in Progressive Railroading's Daily News by Feb. 2, 2025, and recognized on the magazine's website, in print and at a virtual program in March 2025.
