During the third quarter, Hub Group Inc. earned record net income of $9.6 million, a 23 percent increase compared with third-quarter 2004. Diluted earnings per share rose 24 percent to 47 cents.
Hub Group’s quarterly revenue totaled $399.4 million, a 10.3 percent increase compared with third-quarter 2004. Intermodal revenue rose 9 percent to $283.5 million while truckload brokerage revenue increased 21.7 percent to $68.3 million.
The company’s quarterly expenses totaled $33.7 million, a 1.1 percent decrease compared with third-quarter 2004.
Hub Group provides intermodal, truckload brokerage, logistics and distribution services in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
